The Lancashire Candle Company produces and sells home-fragrance and related products, including candles, candle refills, wax melts, reed diffusers, diffuser refills, room and linen fragrance products, homeware and personalised products.

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

Because many of our products are handmade, minor variations in appearance, colour, finish or dimensions may occur. These variations are not necessarily defects.

Colours may also appear differently depending on the device or screen used to view our website.

3. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

After placing an order, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement or confirmation.

A contract between you and us is formed when we accept your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

• payment cannot be authorised;

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products.

Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£).

The price payable is the price displayed at the time your order is placed, subject to correction of obvious errors.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

5. Delivery

Available delivery options and charges will be displayed during checkout.

Any delivery dates or timescales provided are estimates unless we expressly state otherwise.

We will take reasonable steps to deliver your order within the timescale stated when you place your order and in accordance with our legal obligations.

6. Your Right to Cancel an Online Order

7. Personalised and Bespoke Products

The statutory right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised.

This may include, for example, candles engraved or otherwise personalised with names, dates, wording or designs specifically requested by you.

Choosing from standard options that we ordinarily offer, such as a fragrance or vessel colour, does not in itself remove your statutory cancellation rights.

Personalised or bespoke goods may still be returned or otherwise remedied where they are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or do not conform to your order.

• refunds of standard delivery charges;

9. Handling Returned Goods

You may inspect goods in the same way that you would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop.

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession.

Where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning and this has reduced their value, we may make an appropriate deduction from your refund as permitted by law.

10. Faulty, Damaged or Misdescribed Goods

We have a legal obligation to provide goods that conform to the contract.

Goods must, where applicable, be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose and as described.
